On November 20, 2006, the American Himalayan Foundation was honored to welcome Vice President Al Gore, Dr. Ashok Banskota, Tsewang Bista, Luigi Fieni, Ang Rita Sherpa, and Dr. Aruna Uprety to our 25th Anniversary Celebration dinner in San Francisco. Over a thousand people came out to help celebrate our projects, cheer our new book Himalaya and toast the future of AHF.
