About Us

Namaste and Tashi Delek!

Since AHF began work more than two decades ago, we've been fortunate to help some of the greatest people --Sherpas, Nepalis and Tibetans -- in one of the most remote and beautiful corners of the world.

We've built schools and health clinics, housing and clean water systems.

We've helped plant trees, clean up sacred sites and rebuild monasteries.

We've aided Tibetan refugees with housing and education.

With our partners in the Himalaya, we've mended bones, restored eyesight and taught better methods to grow food.

Our goal has been to significantly improve people's lives while enabling them to maintain their traditional ways and culture.

If you join us, your money goes directly where it's supposed to go.  Program management and most peripheral costs and services are privately underwritten.

I'm proud of the work we do, for children, for old people, for refugees, for the environment. All of us at AHF are very grateful for the opportunity to help, and for all of our members and friends who make it possible.
