Nepal Flood Relief
On Wednesday, August 26th, devastating flooding struck the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts in north-central Nepal. Hundreds of lives have been lost, and thousands are still missing. Entire settlements were submerged, bridges destroyed, and most roads remain completely blocked off, with air travel being the only mode of access.
As the full scope of the disaster continues to unfold, our team remains in close contact with partners on the ground to assess how we can best support those affected. We are already working with the communities we serve in the region to provide emergency relief, and we will continue to stand by them as this crisis evolves.
But experience tells us that this is just the beginning, and full recovery will take time. Structures aren't the only things that will have to be rebuilt. People need to rebuild their lives, too. That's the part that outlasts the news cycle, and that's the part we commit to.
If you'd like to help, your donation to our Crisis Response Fund will support this work, today and in the months ahead. Thank you for keeping the people in Nepal facing this unimaginable loss in your thoughts and prayers.
