Sir Edmund Hillary and his Himalayan Trust were one of AHF’s very first partners, and while Sir Ed sadly is no longer with us, we help his legacy live on. For over 30 years we have worked with the Sherpa - educating children, funding health care, rebuilding monasteries, restoring the environment and preserving the unique Sherpa culture and identity.
No matter how often I visit the Khumbu I am always knocked out by the majesty of the Mahalangur Himal Range - the part of the Himalaya where these three peaks are found. And the hospitality and friendliness of the Sherpas never gets old.
